I'm Emily Pfeifer.
I've been carving wood as a hobbyist since 2009, and then decided to temporarily leave my day job to refine my skills.
I traveled to the small town of Dovre, Norway, where the Hjerleid Handwork School has been instructing students in furniture making, woodcarving, and blacksmithing since the 1880s. Over the course of the 2016-2017 school year, I completed many projects that I'm extremely proud of, so I built this site to showcase them.
